Open Studio nights
It has been very rewarding since I first started with the Open Studio nights, every second Tuesday of the month. The clients that have assisted have one thread in common: They all want to explore , connect and exercise their creativity. The funny thing , thought, is that I get to do the same, just by guiding them and assist them in their own projects, which, by the way, are looking more handsome and creative every visit.
This past Tuesday Feb 17th, I did not have that much people coming (I had to cancel and reschedule due to a heavy storm), but I had the greatest time with Vielka Lee Heartz. She Actually is a Sr. Systems engineer in Syrus Computer Solutions, a software company.
Vielka's job is extremely left brained, but she is so happy and into her "just found" creativity, that she is absorbing anything and everything she can get her hands on. It is not easy for a left brained person to open up and let go of past believes and negative thoughts, to allow space for the right brain to come out and play, and implement
its creative ways into Vielka's
personal and professional life.
Well, Vielka has done a wonderful job at opening and embracing her right side of the brain. Congratulations Vielka. you are our "student" of the month!!!. Here is her last project: A personalized valentines; gift for her husband.

They Did It!
Congratulations to our graduate of "Mapping your Goals".
Anna Espinoza, Grace Platon, Daniela Peinado, Maria Boccalandro and very soon Vielka-Lee Heiz.
For four weeks they came once a week for 3 hours at night . it was a great effort on their part, but they completed their task, and well invested time. They cross over to the other side triumphant and proud on their great achievement.
These ladies worked super hard, although they were having fun and it was a relaxed atmosphere, they worked hard to identify, prioritize, plan, time and
map the goals ( many of them life goals). They learned to use and include their right brain to help achieve those goals, and to work together as a team with the left side of the brain, which most of the time ends up being overworked.
Above all, I commend them for taking the time to nourish themselves and work on been more rounded, balanced, and spiritual beings, and also, for taking the risk and having the courage to explore something unknown to them, as it was their creative side. They came, they worked, they conquered.
Check out the art they created as a tool to help them visuali
ze, everyday , their goals, and some of the pages they created along the way. It was a wonderful experience to witness such creative
beings in action, getting acquainted with their creative power.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey.
First collage its Grace platon's; Second collage its Maria Boccalandro's; and Third collage its Anna Espinoza's. Please visit our Photo page . The album name is "Mapping your Goals". Enjoy!

"Mapping Your Goals "
workshop is on the go!
We have wonderful participants all very eager to give meaning and direction to their lives, some are becoming "The Creative Power" groupies. They want to come back for more creativity, more tools, and skills to apply to their daily lives: We have Daniela Peinado, Grace Platon, Maria Boccalandro, Vielka-Lee Heitz, Ana Espinoza.
They have work very hard on defining, identifying, planning, organizing their goals. Setting some steps and creating the time line for those dreams to become reality. They have done a lot of the left side brain work, very structured and black and white, but always having fun with creative ways to spice things up. Here are some of the front pages they have created for their workbook.
There will be more images to come. hang on.

Back to school... Finally!
It is not that I don't like my kids. But having three rampages, creative and full of ideas kids for three months, it's kind of challenging. There is a moment in time that they don't know what else to do, and I certainly pass that stage like a month ago. So I am super happy about them going back to school and them using their brains more often. There were vines coming out from their ears.
That means, We are back in business (Me, myself, and I). There is a couple of projects I am working on. The dress-form series which would have to wait because one of the workshops is coming up: "Mapping your Goals". It is developed already, but I need to work in marketing and selling it. I dread this part. I just find it hard to make people understand the wonderful tools and skills they get with creativity. It is a win/win situation. But somehow their fear interferes and they wont allow themselves to have the experience.
Anyway, If you know of someone (including yourself) that wants to organize their head, map their path, achieve some goals in a very creative, entertaining, and relaxing way, Please pass on this information:

Generation Millenium
One of my eight year old twins- Camila- told me today she wanted to make a post in the blog. I thought it was something you could do by default, once you created your blog. Well, I was wrong. It took an eight year old two seconds to realize that there was no way to write a post in my blog.
She even asked me if I wanted to go to HER school blog (they created it with her teacher) and view the way she posted and how to do it. It was hilarious but humbling. I felt old.
So my apologies to you , if you have tried to post and weren't able do do so. Please try now. I think, it is solved (problem/solving skills), but if i didn't, let me know at info@thecreativepower.com .
